Hatch is seeking an experienced Construction Manager - Municipal Water & Wastewater to lead the planning, development, and execution of major municipal and industrial water infrastructure projects. Working closely with engineering, project management, procurement, and client teams, the Construction Manager is responsible for the overall planning, direction, organization, and management of construction activities within their area of responsibility.

During the engineering and project development phases, the Construction Manager plays a critical leadership role in developing construction strategies, construction execution methodologies, organizational plans, staffing strategies, and execution schedules that support safe, efficient, and cost-effective project delivery. The role ensures projects are designed and planned with constructability, safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives at the forefront.

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience delivering large-scale water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, pipelines, and related infrastructure projects within an EPCM environment.

Responsibilities

As the successful candidate, you will:
  • Lead the development of construction strategies, execution plans, site organization plans, and project schedules during the engineering phase.
  • Ensure construction approaches are safe, environmentally responsible, and aligned with project quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • Review designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure constructability and identify opportunities to improve construction efficiency.
  • Contribute to project estimates, scheduling, risk assessments, modularization, and construction readiness activities.
  • Coordinate with clients, engineering, procurement, project controls, and project management teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Develop construction staffing plans and provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to construction personnel.
  • Establish construction requirements for pre-fabrication, modularization, site logistics, and execution methodologies.
  • Support planning of shutdowns, tie-ins, commissioning interfaces, and brownfield construction activities.
  • Participate in workforce planning, contractor engagement, and labor strategy development.
  • Serve as the primary construction representative with clients and stakeholders, providing technical guidance and resolving construction-related issues.


You Will Bring to This Role
  • Minimum 10 years of construction management experience delivering major water, wastewater, municipal, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, pipelines, and related infrastructure projects.
  • Engineering degree, Construction Management degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of EPCM project delivery, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational interfaces.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health and safety leadership and knowledge of applicable construction safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proven experience developing construction execution strategies, constructability reviews, and construction planning during engineering and design phases.
  • Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and team development skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, and client relationship management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and associated mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation systems.


Salary range: $115,000 to $165,000
