Commercial Underwriter

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Hard Money / Private Lending underwriting
• Strong knowledge of Fix & Flip and Bridge loan underwriting
• Ability to evaluate ARV-based deals and rehab budgets
• Proficient in appraisals, title reports, insurance, and entity structures
• Detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills for confident decision-making

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Hard Money / Private Money loans (e.g., Fix & Flip, Bridge)
• Review loan files and borrower documentation
• Analyze property details, exit strategies, and deal structures
• Calculate LTV, ARV, LTC, rehab budgets, and timelines
• Review appraisals and market data for property valuation
• Issue approvals and communicate clearly with the team
• Collaborate with Loan Officers, Processors, and Management
• Identify potential risks and provide recommendations
• Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and lending policies
