Full Job Description
What you'll do
We're looking for a Commercial Strategy & Operations Specialist to join us as a trusted partner to the Commercial Director, leading strategic and operational projects across our Field Sales and Marketing Contact Center (MCC) teams. You'll tackle the questions that shape our growth: where to expand, how to structure our teams, and how to convert more calls and meetings into active merchants. You'll take projects from first analysis through to delivery, working side by side with Field Sales and MCC leadership, as well as colleagues in Operations, Product, Finance and Recruitment. The role blends rigorous analysis with real time alongside our sales teams, so you can turn insights into practical improvements and results you can measure.
Main responsibilities
Shape our expansion strategy and launch plans. Assess new markets, prioritize territories and build launch plans covering recruitment, sales capacity, operational readiness and sequencing
Build scalable sales structures. Develop territory coverage, capacity models and ways of working across Field Sales and MCC, aligning meeting generation with sales capacity.
Strengthen sales enablement. Drive improvements to sales tools, playbooks, onboarding, training and incentive structures, helping sellers and bookers become productive faster.
Improve both commercial funnels. Optimize the MCC funnel from calls to qualified bookings and the Field Sales funnel from meetings to signed and activated merchants. Identify bottlenecks, test solutions and scale what works.
Turn performance data into action. Analyze KPIs such as call-to-book conversion, meeting-to-sale conversion, productivity, ramp-up, activation and acquisition payback. Translate findings into clear priorities and actions.
Drive operational improvements. Improve processes and handoffs across booking, sales, merchant onboarding, and installation. Align stakeholders, set milestones, and follow projects through delivery.
Skills & Attributes
2+ years of full-time experience in fintech, management consulting, venture capital or a similar analytical, commercial environment.
You're strong with numbers. You're at ease with large datasets, build robust analyses, and check your own work before it goes out. You're confident in Excel and can turn findings into clear, compelling presentations.
You can structure an open-ended problem. You break big questions into their parts, focus on what matters and explain your conclusions clearly, both in writing and out loud.
You take ownership and follow through. You're happy to drive projects independently, bring colleagues together and make sure recommendations turn into real improvements.
You pair commercial judgement with curiosity. You want to understand what drives sales performance, merchant value and sustainable unit economics, and you're willing to get close to the operation to find the answers.
You collaborate effectively. You're a confident communicator, build productive relationships across functions, and take a humble, team-first approach.
Experience in sales organizations or payments, plus SQL or Power BI, nice to have
You don't need to know everything from day one. We're looking for someone curious, eager to learn, and ready to take responsibility.
Competitive salary, standard US benefits - including health insurance and 401(K).
