Core Knowledge & Skills: Manages routing/switching and network security, multi‑OS environments, virtualization (e.g., VMware/Hyper‑V), core cloud services, and release of IaC via pipelines; automates common admin tasks.
Work & Complexity: Plans and executes upgrades/migrations, configures network devices and services, responds to incidents, monitors performance, and manages resources.
Quality & Independence: Implements proactive monitoring, produces accurate documentation, improves processes, and works independently within project scope.
Teamwork & Communication: Partners with peer teams, shares knowledge, coordinates changes, reports progress, and supports/train users.
Consulting & Engagement: Advises internal teams on solutions and tools, evaluates technologies, recommends optimizations, and coordinates vendor support.
AIS is supporting federal customer with a program focused on architecture and infrastructure.
Key ResponsibilitiesDrives the stability and sustainability of the cloud-based networks, software systems forscaling and reliable operations.
Performs system integration, verification and validation and
supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Creates proactive engineeringmechanisms that will enable the team to manage the health of a number of distributed VMs.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocationand interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications.
Utilizes trends andmetrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools andprocesses.
Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues.
Considered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise.
Developstechnical solutions to complex problems.
Exercises considerable latitude in determiningobjectives and approaches to assignment.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
8 years of relevant experience supporting enterprise cloud and/or infrastructure environments.
Certifications: IAT-2, 1 or more cloud certifications within 6 months of hire.
Active Secret clearance.
Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems.
