Full Job Description
The Department of Pharmacy's mission is to provide high quality pharmaceutical care to our patients in an atmosphere of educational growth, shared respect and communication. We are currently seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Informatics to join our Pharmacy Informatics team.

The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Informatics will work with a multidisciplinary team to optimize clinical decision support for medication ordering, verification, and administration within the EHR. This position will support both adult and pediatric non-oncology patient populations. The specialist will serve as a liaison between pharmacy staff and Health IT project teams to ensure that medication-related workflows are configured optimally within the EHR. The role will have shared responsibility for maintaining and enhancing medication infrastructure as well as educating and supporting pharmacy staff in navigating workflows within the EHR.

This role will be expected to work with various Epic reporting tools. Additionally, the specialist will also provide education to students, residents, pharmacists, and other health care practitioners. They will also serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students and pharmacy residents of ASHP-accredited PGY-1 pharmacy practice and PGY-2 specialty practice programs, including the PGY1&2 Pharmacy Informatics residency.

Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in Pharm. D. degree, or B.S.
  • 5+ years of experience in clinical informatics or pharmacy (Required)
  • Requires current licensure as a pharmacist in any Johns Hopkins approved state.
  • Board Certification through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties or a certification deemed appropriate for the practitioner's practice setting by Supervisor is required within 2 years of start date
  • BLS certification within 1 year of hire is required

Salary Range: Minimum $61.78/hour - Maximum $101.96/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
