What is the role?
The Aerogen Clinical Educator (ACE) is a field-based clinical professional responsible for developing and executing strategic clinical education plans within assigned accounts and territories to support customer adoption, implementation, utilization, and expansion of Aerogen technology.
The ACE serves as a clinical partner to Account Managers (AMs) and Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), combining clinical expertise, customer insight, and targeted education to address clinical needs and support commercial priorities. The role is responsible for understanding the clinical environment within priority accounts, identifying key stakeholders and barriers to adoption, and developing education strategies that create meaningful and sustainable change.
ACEs work collaboratively with Clinical Education Managers, Account Managers, Regional Sales Leadership, Health System Clinical Specialists, Corporate Account Executives, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and other cross-functional partners to ensure clinical education is aligned with account, regional, and enterprise-level strategies.
This is a field-based, customer-facing role with an expectation that the majority of time is spent engaging customers within the assigned geography. The ACE remains actively engaged throughout the customer journey, from pre-implementation planning through implementation, adoption, follow-up, and expansion.

What are the key responsibilities?
• Develop and execute account-specific clinical education strategies aligned with regional priorities and commercial objectives.
• Partner with Account Managers to understand account strategy, clinical needs, key stakeholders, barriers to adoption, sales stage, and opportunities for utilization and expansion.
• Prioritize Clinical Education activity based on customer readiness, clinical need, account opportunity, business impact, and alignment with regional strategy.
• Deliver high-quality clinical education through product evaluations, implementations, continuing education programs, clinical presentations, workflow education, therapy expansion, segment expansion, and other strategic educational activities.
• Support product implementations from planning through post-implementation follow-up to promote successful adoption, appropriate utilization, and sustained clinical practice change.
• Build relationships with key clinical stakeholders and develop an understanding of customer workflows, practices, protocols, educational needs, and barriers to adoption.
• Identify and develop clinical champions and "super users" who can support ongoing education, adoption, and standardization within customer accounts.
• Identify opportunities to expand Aerogen utilization across departments, care areas, patient populations, and facilities based on customer needs and clinical opportunity.
• Maintain consistent engagement and follow-up within strategic accounts to reinforce education, assess adoption, identify ongoing needs, and support continued utilization and expansion.
• Partner with Health System Clinical Specialists and Corporate Account Executives when assigned accounts are part of a strategic IDN, ensuring facility-level Clinical Education activity aligns with the broader health system strategy.
• Support system-level implementations and multi-site initiatives in collaboration with Health System Clinical Specialists, Clinical Education Managers, and other ACEs as needed.
• Collaborate with peer ACEs across territories and regions to support customer initiatives that cross geographic boundaries and provide additional implementation support when needed.
• Partner with Regional Sales Leadership, Account Managers, Clinical Education leadership, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure coordinated customer engagement and execution.
• Serve as a clinical subject matter expert for customers and internal commercial partners, effectively communicating clinical evidence, best practices, product application, and Aerogen's clinical value proposition.
• Maintain a strong field presence within the assigned geography, prioritizing meaningful customer engagement, implementation support, follow-up, and expansion within strategic accounts.
• Document Clinical Education activity, customer insights, stakeholder engagement, adoption milestones, and outcomes using established systems and processes.
• Utilize Clinical Education metrics and account data to evaluate impact, inform ongoing education strategy, and identify opportunities to improve educational effectiveness.
• Maintain current clinical, product, therapeutic, and evidence-based knowledge relevant to Aerogen products and customer populations.
• Participate in regional and national meetings, training programs, new product initiatives, and other Clinical Education activities as required.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
What education and experience are required?
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist, Registered Nurse, or equivalent healthcare professional.
• Current RT, RN, or equivalent clinical license.
• Acute care clinical experience required; ICU and/or Emergency Department experience preferred.
• Medical device, pharmaceutical, clinical education, or healthcare industry experience preferred.

What key skills will make you great at the role?
• Experience providing clinical education, training, or precepting preferred.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary healthcare teams preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to translate complex clinical concepts into effective customer education.
• Demonstrated ability to develop education strategies based on customer needs, clinical objectives, and account opportunities.
• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to understand account stakeholders, clinical priorities, barriers to adoption, and opportunities for education and expansion.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with clinicians, clinical leaders, physicians, and other healthcare stakeholders.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Strong collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively within a cross-functional and matrixed commercial organization.
• Ability to partner strategically with commercial teams while maintaining strong clinical credibility.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple accounts and opportunities based on clinical need, customer readiness, and business impact.
• Excellent organization, planning, and time-management skills.
• Self-starter with demonstrated ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
