Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution required
Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Georgia or ability to obtain it in 3 months
5-10 years of experience in preparing plans for public roadway projects
Proficiency in Microstation and a relevant transportation design software (OpenRoads Designer, Geopak)
Familiarity with DOT and AASHTO Standards
Experience with GDOT projects is an advantage
Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
Responsibilities

Civil Engineer - Transportation |
This position will report to the Transportation Engineer Branch Office Manager in our office located in Atlanta, GA.
Job Description:
The Civil Engineer will perform civil engineering design services in a team-oriented environment. Project emphasis is transportation engineering design for both public and private sectors which range in scope from small to multimillion-dollar designs. Services are provided to a wide range of clients that include state DOTs and other governmental agencies - municipal, county and state.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Daily production of civil engineering design plans
Work as part of a team to deliver quality design that adheres to the project budget and schedule
Responsible and accountable for client/customer satisfaction and technical project execution
Perform other job duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university required
Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Georgia, or ability to obtain GA licensure in 3 months
5-10 years of hands-on plan preparation experience for public agency roadway projects
Proficiency in Microstation as well as a related transportation design package (OpenRoads Designer, Geopak) although candidates with an AutoCAD/Civil3D background will also be considered
Working knowledge of DOT/AASHTO Standards
DOT project experience is preferred (GDOT is a plus)
Proficiency with Excel and other general office software
Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
Physical Qualifications:
Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods
Visual focus for electronic documents and design software

Starting Salary Range: $90,000-120,000
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
