We are looking for a creative
Circuit Design Engineer to join an exciting and dynamic team where you will work on the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art avionics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment. This position does not support teleworking. You will need to live near our Littleton, CO facility and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.
What does this role look like?As an Electrical Engineer, you'll design, develop, integrate, and qualify high-reliability electronics for demanding space applications. You'll own hardware from concept through qualification while collaborating across engineering disciplines.
- Design & Analyze: Develop analog/digital circuits, perform worst-case, parts-stress, and FMEA analyses, and use tools such as PSpice and Saber for simulation and optimization.
- PCB Development: Create schematics using Zuken or Siemens Xpedition and support PCB layout using EPCAD or Siemens tools, with a focus on signal integrity and space-qualified practices.
- Build & Test: Develop prototypes, checkout procedures, and test plans, and execute acceptance and qualification testing.
- Integrate & Collaborate: Partner with PCB, GNC, FPGA, and Special Test Equipment teams to integrate, troubleshoot, and verify hardware.
- Drive Decisions: Lead trade studies and evaluate architectures while balancing performance, cost, schedule, reliability, and risk.
- Own Hardware: Manage BOMs, component selection, sourcing, and prototype builds.
- Qualify for Space: Verify designs withstand shock, vibration, radiation, thermal extremes, and other mission environments.
- Lead & Communicate: Present technical status, risks, and issues to leadership and customers while mentoring engineers and advancing continuous improvement.
The information below reflects the standard job description for this position:
Designs and develops circuits used in electronic devices. Responsible for layout and mask design, device evaluation and characterization, test box design, prototype construction and checkout, and determination of wafer fabrication processes. Prepares test methods and specifications; analyzes equipment to establish operating data and conducts experimental tests; provides finished device approval; and prepares customer application information.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Experience or coursework related to design and/or analysis of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA).
- Working knowledge using Zuken, Altium, Mentor Graphics or other schematic capture tool.
- Current or Active Top Secret clearance, thus US citizenship is required.
Desired Skills- Demonstrated usage of Zuken, Altium, Mentor Graphics or other schematic capture tool.
- Experience performing Worst Case Analysis (WCA) on Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) designs.
- Knowledge of card test requirements and process.
- Ability to understand electrical circuits, interfaces, and interconnect diagrams.
- PSPICE, Saber, or other electronics simulation tool experience.
- Technical experience in full life cycle development of hardware including design, integration, and test.
- Excellent presentation, oral and written skills.
- Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
- Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $91200.00 - $169400.00
