WIOA OOSY Career Advisor - Gary - FT
Job Objective:
Case manage participants and provide intensive services through various activities in order to prepare youth customers for entry and retention in employment, military, or postsecondary education. The Advisor determines eligibility, completes an objective assessment, interprets assessment results, jointly develops Career Pathway Plans, offers training opportunities, and provides work-based learning experiences with a specific emphasis on preparing youth or young adults to be job-ready. This position reports to the Out of School Youth Team Lead.

• Excellent Counseling Skills.
• Excellent Listening Skills.
• Ability and Knowledge of interpreting assessments.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent data entry skills.
• Knowledge of regional Education and Training offerings, including Adult Education Centers.
• 2 years of related experience.
• Associate degree in a related field.
