Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and win new commercial and public-sector technology consulting accounts.
- Develop opportunities across AI and machine learning, generative AI, cloud, data and analytics, cybersecurity, systems integration, and application modernization.
- Lead discovery conversations, clarify business outcomes, and involve practice leaders and solution architects at the appropriate stage.
- Sell and close statement-of-work engagements, including fixed-fee, time-and-materials, and managed-capacity models.
- Build pursuit plans and manage opportunities from initial outreach through proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Lead the commercial side of proposals and RFP responses in partnership with capture, proposal, and delivery teams.
- Develop relationships with CIO, CISO, CDO, procurement, and other executive stakeholders.
- Convert initial discovery or pilot engagements into larger follow-on programs and account growth.
- Present Tryfacta’s technical capabilities, certifications, contract vehicles, and delivery record to prospective clients.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and forecast reporting for business development leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 6–10 years of experience selling IT consulting, professional services, or systems-integration engagements against a services quota.
- Demonstrated success closing scoped statements of work, not solely staffing or resourcing engagements.
- Sufficient technical fluency to lead an initial business conversation about cloud, data platforms, cybersecurity, or applied AI—and sound judgment about when to involve a technical specialist.
- Experience developing new accounts through outbound prospecting, executive networking, and consultative selling.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Pleasanton, California.
Preferred Qualifications
- Public-sector capture experience involving RFPs, IDIQ task orders, or state master service agreements.
- An established network of commercial or government technology buyers.
- Experience collaborating with solution architects, delivery leaders, and proposal teams.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary plus uncapped commission and target bonus. Final base salary will depend on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated business-development results.
