POSITION SUMMARY:

TheBusiness Development Manager supports Business Development activities for theirregion and is responsible for developing and executing business developmentstrategies to secure new clients and maintain existing client relationships.This role is responsible for winning new work, executing successful strategiesto secure and maintain clients, and meeting established procurement and revenuegoals for their region.

MAJORDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Seek and identify business opportunities for the firm
  • Build relationships with clients, teaming partners, and community influencers inside and outside the firm
  • Monitor sources of industry-related market information
  • Gather research data related to clients; competitors; past, current, and prospective markets; and relevant corporate experience
  • Monitor online and print sources, including newspapers, magazines, and blogs
  • Maintain a list of relevant resources and achieve proficiency in understanding applicable laws and regulations to ensure compliant RFQ/RFP responses
  • In partnership with marketing, develop qualification, proposal, and presentation messaging and content
  • Participate in development and execution of the Approval to Pursue and Project Pursuit Plans
  • Lead quality control efforts for business development processes
  • Assist or lead doer-seller training and mentoring activities
  • Maintain scheduling and tracking systems for individual pursuit and proposal elements and status
  • Assist in developing pursuit plans and client outreach activities ahead of RFP release
  • Help to produce proposals, including editing and graphics; prepare for digital and/or print reproduction
  • Identify and monitor proposal criteria to ensure the response is fully compliant
  • Handle production and arrange for on-time delivery of proposals
  • Maintain scheduling and tracking systems for individual pursuit and proposal elements
  • Gather content from team and consultants as needed
  • Track pre-submittal meeting schedules and attendees, identify decision-makers
  • Maintain systems to extract, categorize, and retrieve information related to clients, consultants, personnel, projects, prior proposals, boilerplate, visuals, and mailing lists
  • Work with business development leaders to help manage seller-doer schedules to maintain regular client interactions
  • Actively participate in professional and community organizations
  • Create positive media exposure for Manhattan

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree- Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent. May substitute required education degree with related experience on a one-to-one basis

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS:
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day.
  • Ability to repeat the same movements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to participate fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls.
  • Use hands to type, handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or control.
  • Occasionally lift, pull, or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional travel will be required, primarily in themetropolitan area but sometimes domestically (must have a valid Driver'sLicense).
