We Offer:

This is an exciting opportunity to join theNorthEuropeContinentMPL leadership team as Business Developmentto drive and accelerate the sustainable growth of our MPL offeringand value propositionacross Benelux, DACH & Poland.You will be joining an international, fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and get exposure to complex, global logistics operationswith multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:  

Accountable for delivering the Area Project Logistics Revenue and GP targets in line with Budget, covering containerized, breakbulk, heavy lift, OOG, RoRo, chartering, multimodal and other specialized cargo opportunities & contracts across the North Europe Continent market. 

 

  • Define and execute the Area growth strategy, including market penetration plans, target industries, customer prioritization, pricing and profitability strategies to drive profitable growth aligned with regional and global objectives. 

  • Own opportunity qualification, pipeline governance, forecasting, and conversion across all customer segments and verticals, ensuring disciplined CRM management and pipeline development by Sales.  

  • Identify and engage in project opportunities at an early stage through EPCs, OEMs, public-sector entities, and other key stakeholders in the project ecosystem. 

  • Partner with Sales and Solution Design to lead complex bid and proposal processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP), ensuring commercially competitive, technically sound, compliant, and profitable customer solutions.  

  • Orchestrate and oversee structured handover by Solution Design and Sales to Operations teams, ensuring scope clarity, risk ownership, and execution readiness. 

  • Drive network pipeline growth through collaboration across Areas and Regions to identify, develop, and convert cross-border end-to-end opportunities. 

  • Support customer engagement, negotiations, contract reviews while managing commercial and contractual risks, together with Legal. 

  • Act as the Project Logistics Subject Matter Expert throughout the sales cycle to both internal and external stakeholders, providing market intelligence, customer insights and sales enablement capabilities  

  • Drive continuous improvement and voice-of-the-customer feedback through post-project reviews, win/loss analysis, lessons learned, and implementation of best practices to improve commercial performance, win ratios and customer outcomes.

 

What We Are Looking For 

  • Strategic commercial mindset with a proven track record of identifying market opportunities, developing growth, pricing and profitability strategies to deliver sustainable revenue and profit growth and meeting targets. 

  • Strong Project Logistics expertise across equipment types and transport modes together with a strong knowledge of the local project logistics market and key target customer accounts across main industry verticals (eg: renewables, construction, mining, defence, automotive and industrial manufacturing). Experience across regional trade corridors is an advantage. 

  • Demonstrated ability to qualify and manage complex, long-cycle opportunities, balancing strategic fit, competitive positioning, profitability, compliance requirements and risk. 

  • Data-driven approach to commercial decision-making and contract negotiations to improve performance, forecasting accuracy and mitigate contractual risk exposure 

  • Strong solution-selling, customer engagement, and communication skills, able to translate complex logistics solutions into compelling commercial value propositions. 

  • Excellent stakeholder management and proven ability to lead through influence within a matrix organization to align stakeholders across functions and seniority levels. Strong inter-personal skills in a multicultural environment. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, matrixial environment. 

  • Proactive and structured, with a solution-oriented approach and can-do attitude. 

  • Customer-facing travels in North Europe to be on a regular basis, ad-hoc travels within the area. 

  • Fluency in English and German (verbal and written)
