Business Development Director

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software sales experience
• Proven sales performance over the last 3 years
• Experience in financial institution lending preferred
• Background in credit unions or financial institutions is beneficial
• Familiarity with loan origination software is a plus
• Strong software demonstration skills aligned with customer needs
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
• Ability to travel nationwide up to 70%

Responsibilities

• Develop new business by presenting MeridianLink solutions to financial institutions
• Articulate how solutions accelerate trust and deliver value in the market
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet or exceed quotas
• Present value propositions to banking executives
• Self-generate leads and follow up on marketing-generated leads
• Utilize listening skills to identify client issues and propose solutions
• Ensure territorial goals are consistently met
• Develop strategic approaches for assigned territories
• Build credible relationships with prospects
• Analyze software configurations and demonstrate products
• Support other territories in the absence of the assigned Business Development Manager
• Attend tradeshows as required
• Maintain professionalism while representing MeridianLink
• Collaborate with Partner Success Managers to maximize client satisfaction
• Promote maximum utilization of solutions to clients
• Update and maintain the CRM system
• Work closely with the EVP of Sales on strategy and revenue growth
• Exceed annual sales quotas
