Objective of Position:
The Business Banker is responsible to provide financial services to companies in order to help them expand or maintain their business. This role is also responsible to obtain, promote, and manage a portfolio of existing and new loan customers including cross-selling new loans, products and services while ensuring compliance with Bank's lending policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Help manages relationships with business banking clients through service and support.
- Assists with analyze loan market to develop new prospects for loans.
- Maintain and develop positive, professional relationships with customers and continue communication for growth of portfolio.
- Foster customer relationships through routine calls and meeting activity and develops new Business Banking relationship opportunities through business develop activities.
- Analyze applicant's financial status, credit and property evaluation to determine feasibility of loan request - approves or denies loan applications.
- Help compiles loan documentation and facilitates loan structure with applicant and ensures the commitment letter are prepared and delivered.
- Has full understanding of commercial real estate appraisals and is able to review and evaluate appropriately.
- Ensures loan closing and funding activities occur timely.
- Identify complex situations, review related information to evaluate and develop an acceptable solution.
- Stays inform and current on lending practices and communicates as necessary on updates needed to the Bank's policies.
- Maintain a deep understanding of banking products/services in order to make appropriate recommendations.
- Help develops strong professional relationships with other Bank department associates, as well as supplemental business lines and vendors to cross sell and generate appropriate business product and service recommendations to help clients meet their goals and expand client relationships.
- Provides quality customer service to existing customers and accounts through problem resolution and maintains consistent communications with clients through onsite visits and outbound calls.
- Assists with analyzing financial and related data to establish credit worthiness.
- Conducts business development calls to current and prospective clients.
- Compiles loan packages ensuring completeness and accuracy of information provided.
- Resolves client problems and assists with general inquiries.
- Develops new financial products based on market research.
- Strives to keep ahead of competing banks in terms of products and services offered to companies.
- Assists clients in raising equity capital.
- Assists the Sr. Business Banker with strategic investments to help clients fulfill their business goals.
- Keeps up with new products and services offered by the bank and remains knowledgeable on existing ones.
- Works to minimize fraud and prevents the bank from losing money.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Business Management or related degree is required for this role. Master's degree, preferred.
- 5+ years of responsibility within a commercial banking, credit, or other related function, with proven results over time.
- Certification in Banking Services Management.
- Certified Leader Business Banker or CLBB designation.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Knowledge of Federal and State regulations covering commercial banking activities.
- Ability to work with ban and branch partners.
- Formal Credit Training (Analysis of Business and Personal Tax Returns) preferred.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of customer information.
- Be a strategic thinker with the ability to develop, communicate and implement plans that support the overall goals of the Bank.

- Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and adequate keyboarding skills required.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.

Compensation & Benefits:Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.
The salary range for this position is between $104,000 to $129,000 + incentive.

Depending on the specific role, compensation may also include discretionary bonuses and other benefit programs. The actual compensation package may vary based on factors such as skill set, experience level, and candidate's location.
