Business Analyst provides strategic decision support to the Sales and Marketing organization to drive the achievement of business objectives and revenue goals. This role leads the collection, analysis, and interpretation of market intelligence, customer, pricing, and financial data to deliver actionable insights that support informed business decisions.
A key focus of the role is developing financial models and business cases to support RFPs, proposals, pricing strategies, and incentive agreements. The Business Analyst is also responsible for designing and maintaining dashboards, KPIs, and reports that monitor business performance, identify trends, and uncover growth opportunities.
By leveraging data mining, analytics, forecasting, and reporting tools, this individual transforms complex internal and external data into meaningful business intelligence, enabling leadership to make data-driven decisions and execute strategic initiatives with confidence.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide business decision support through market and sales analytics in support of overall pricing strategy and offer customer/market insights that will drive sales growth.
- Build solutions to combine multiple sources of data accurately to enhance sales and market intelligence.
- Work closely with sales and marketing to gather reporting requirements and build new capabilities. Includes performing data validation, combining multiple complex data sets, and end user testing of dashboards to ensure data accuracy and usability and self-serve dashboarding capabilities as required.
- Responsible for the management, continual customization and development of dashboards, reports, forms, templates and models utilizing varying technologies (QlikView, Power BI, PowerPivot, Excel, VBA Macros, Access etc.) in support of the business.
- Build alternate proposal models with the business based on market insight. Liaise with Finance and Commercial Operations Teams to ensure all financial and compliance/legal considerations are assessed.
- Work with businesses to build value add options/alternatives for customers. Responsible for developing model/calculations required for customer contract incentives and to ensure accrual, reconciliation, and payment process can be executed based on terms of proposal.
- Participate, lead and/or manage other Customer Intelligence and global projects as required. Share and leverage best practices, new learnings and developments from other businesses locally and globally.
Education and Experience required:- University Degree combined with 2+ years of business or finance data analytics experience.
- Experience with financial modelling and interpreting contractual agreements/proposals.
Knowledge and Skills: - Proficient in Microsoft office tools such as Word, Outlook, Teams.
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze and manage large data sets, develop complex formulas and functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, IF statements, nested formulas), create Pivot Tables and dashboards.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and present findings effectively to business leaders and executive stakeholders. Demonstrates strong communication, executive presence, and confidence in delivering data-driven recommendations, influencing decisions, and driving alignment across cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications- Fluency in French (read, write, speak) a strong asset.
- Experience with uncertainty analysis, forecasting, and general decision support is an asset
- Experience with accruals, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations is an asset
- QlikView, Power BI, SAP, BI/BW, Microsoft Access experience is an asset.

The range displayed is comprised of wages, which includes base salary and commission, as well as certain components of our bonus programs. The salary offered to a successful candidate may vary based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, education, skills, qualifications, and work location.
Salary Range Information: $69000- $119000 CAD Annual
