Role Overview
BI Engineers at Fractal design and maintain the dashboards and reports that enable enterprise stakeholders to make confident, data-driven decisions. Working closely with business teams, you will translate requirements into intuitive visualizations and deliver production-quality BI solutions using Tableau, ThoughtSpot, and Plotly. You will also play a key role in centralizing and standardizing the analytics estate, ensuring architectural consistency, data quality, and self-service accessibility across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop dashboards and reports in Tableau, ThoughtSpot, and Plotly
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data models
• Work with analytics engineers on data modeling and dimension table design
• Implement dbt data quality tests and ensure data used in dashboards is accurate
• Centralize and standardize ~80 dashboards into a single hub with consistent architecture
• Create comprehensive documentation for all dashboards including lineage and refresh schedules
• Manage access control and resolve dashboard permission issues promptly
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and custom dashboard development for stakeholder requests
• Optimize dashboard performance and query efficiency
• Stay current with BI tool features and recommend improvements
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on data visualization best practices
• Train stakeholders on self-service analytics capabilities
Required Skills
LatAm Position (G7): 6-10 years of BI/Analytics engineering experience
• 4+ years developing dashboards in Tableau or similar BI tools
• 3+ years with SQL and data warehouse concepts
• 2+ years working with business stakeholders and requirements gathering
• Expert-level proficiency in Tableau (or equivalent BI tool)
• Advanced SQL: complex queries, window functions, performance optimization
• Experience with dbt (data transformation and testing)
• Knowledge of Snowflake and data warehouse architectures
• Familiarity with Plotly and ThoughtSpot (or similar analytics platforms)
• Understanding of data governance and security best practices

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• Masters degree or relevant certifications preferred
