As the AVP, Product Development for RILA products, you will play a leadership role focused on shaping and executing the future of Lincoln's RILA product portfolio. This position is responsible for driving product opportunities and growth by identifying market opportunities, and developing differentiated solutions, for a rapidly evolving segment of the annuity marketplace.
Working across the organization and with external partners, you will leverage industry expertise, market insights, and strong relationships to influence product direction and enhance Lincoln's competitive position. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of RILA products, the broader annuity landscape, and emerging trends that impact customers, advisors, and the industry.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of developing and advancing RILA or similar insurance and investment products, along with the strategic vision to anticipate market needs and translate them into meaningful product solutions. What you'll be doing- You will lead the discovery, design, development, and delivery of RILA solutions that support business growth, market differentiation, and long-term product strategy.
- You will identify emerging market opportunities, consumer needs, and industry trends to develop strategies that expand into new markets and diversify the product portfolio.
- You will assist business leaders by influencing product priorities and future growth opportunities.
- You will work alongside business partners to assess the annuity and adjacent markets to identify product concepts and evaluate their viability, competitiveness, and alignment with business objectives.
- You will collaborate with Pricing, Distribution, Marketing, Legal, State Filings, Operations, and Implementation teams to develop and bring product solutions from concept to market.
- You will build and leverage relationships with external partners, industry organizations, and third-party providers to gather market insights, identify opportunities, and inform product innovation efforts.
- You will play a key role in evaluating product performance, in-force management strategies, and market competitiveness to support portfolio optimization and business growth.
- You will contribute to risk management and product governance processes by assessing potential impacts to product design, pricing strategies, business mix, and overall portfolio performance.
- You will help define and execute short- and long-term product strategies by maintaining a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitor offerings, regulatory developments, and emerging industry trends.
What we're looking for- 4 Year Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience of equivalent work experience
- 10+ Years experience in a similar role in the insurance industry (Required)
- Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations
- Demonstrates ability to communicate knowledgeably and credibly with senior management and internal constituents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to think critically, analyze information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement process improvements
- Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

The pay range for this position is $127,500 - $232,300 with
anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
