Aviation Engineering Project Manager

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Aviation Engineering Project Manager to join our Aviation Team in Boston, MA; Providence, RI; Burlington, MA; or Norwell, MA. In this role, you'll lead the planning, design, and delivery of airside, landside, and airport facility projects while partnering with airport sponsors, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to create innovative solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and long-term operational success.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage airside, landside, and facility-related aviation projects from planning through implementation, delivering practical, sustainable solutions that enhance airport operations, safety, and efficiency
  • Oversee aviation infrastructure project delivery including scope, budget, schedule, and client satisfaction
  • Coordinate contracts, technical documentation, and collaboration with clients, regulators, and subcontractors
  • Drive project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly progress reviews
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans while ensuring regulatory compliance and QA/QC standards
  • Communicate project status, technical findings, and recommendations clearly to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
  • Independently completes routine development of engineering design, preparation of specifications, compiles technical reports and other activities requiring knowledge of standard principles and techniques


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience required, including 2 years of project management experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Expert knowledge of the aviation engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
  • Demonstrated leadership, organization, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
  • Proven ability to manage scope, budget and schedule of technical tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and other management software
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $150,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
