In this position, you would be responsible for selling vehicles while achieving and maintaining appropriate levels of gross profit, sales volume, and customer satisfaction; proactively generate business through inbound and outbound customer communications, internet leads, referrals, and showroom traffic while delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process. Consistently demonstrate professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a customer-first attitude. This position must provide timely responses to customer inquiries, maintain positive customer relationships, and contribute to achieving dealership customer satisfaction and retention goals. Exceptional customer service is a fundamental requirement of this position and is considered an essential job function. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Previous automotive dealership sales experience, A Plus!
  • Valid California Vehicle Salesperson License, required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust and rapport with customers.
  • Ability to effectively manage inbound and outbound customer communications, including phone calls, emails, text messages, and CRM-generated leads.
  • Proficiency with computers and dealership software systems, including CRM platforms, inventory management systems, internet lead management tools, Microsoft Office applications, and web-based applications.
  • Ability to accurately enter, maintain, and retrieve customer information within dealership systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment.
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including background check, motor vehicle record review, and verification of eligibility to work.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and maintain insurability under the dealership insurance policy (not an excluded driver).
  • Bilingual (preferred but not required).

Essential Duties, but not limited to:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting, assisting, and guiding customers through the vehicle purchasing process both in-person and through phone, email, text, and internet inquiries.
  • Generate sales opportunities through inbound and outbound customer communications, lead follow-up, prospecting activities, and appointment setting.
  • Assist customers in selecting vehicles that meet their needs through product presentations, demonstrations, and test drives.
  • Maintain accurate customer information, sales activities, and follow-up records using dealership CRM and computer systems.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to drive customer satisfaction, repeat business, and referrals.
  • Maintain current knowledge of vehicle inventory, manufacturer programs, financing options, incentives, and dealership services.
  • Prepare and process sales documentation accurately and in compliance with dealership policies and applicable laws.
  • Coordinate vehicle deliveries, explain vehicle features and ownership documents, and ensure a positive delivery experience.
  • Follow up with customers before and after the sale to address questions, resolve concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions, maintain professional standards, and support dealership sales, operational, and customer satisfaction objectives
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $60,000 to $130,000 annually
