What we need...COCC is seeking an Automation Engineer to help streamline the build, deployment, and testing processes across our software development lifecycle. What you\'ll do...- Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
- Assist with the migration toward containerized deployments (on-prem and cloud-based)
- Write and maintain scripts for automation tasks (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot build issues
- Contribute to version control best practices
- Foster a culture of collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement
What you\'ll bring...- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred for this role but will consider appropriate work experience and/or relevant certifications
- 2+ years CI/CD pipeline experience (GitLab; experience with other Git-based pipelines like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc. are acceptable
- Exposure to containerization platforms and orchestration tools (Kubernetes), proficiency in source control systems (GitLab, Azure Devops Server), and basic programming/scripting experience (C#, Powershell, Python, Bash
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and Jira a plus
- Local candidates are preferred for this hybrid role.
