Job Summary:LRE is currently seeking a Strategic Finance Associate (L18) to provide financial modeling, scenario building, and analysis to support senior management decision-making. This position is based in Dallas, Texas and provides an opportunity for an analyst program graduate to transition to the corporate environment, focusing on long-term strategy and value creation from within a small and highly visible team, build experience in renewables, collaborate across the organization, and contribute to LRE's renewable energy mission.
Essential Functions:- Study all areas of the business to understand drivers of value and cash flow generation
- Maintain multi-year comprehensive corporate financial model to support near-term budgeting, capital planning, and long-term corporate strategy
- Support cash flow forecasting and management on monthly- and quarterly-basis
- Build scenario analysis to evaluate impacts on valuation, credit profile, cash flow/liquidity, and other KPIs and performance metrics
- Perform strategic analysis and prepare executive-level discussion materials for senior management and board of directors
- Prepare and maintain investor presentations, management presentations, and ratings agency materials
- Serve as a finance partner to the business to evaluate the economics of portfolio development strategies
- Collaborate within the organization to accurately develop and validate modeling inputs and assumptions
- Gather industry research, operational metrics, and comparable company data for ongoing benchmarking
- Perform ad hoc analysis, cash flow modeling, reporting, and M&A support
- Act as the "go-to" expert for advanced modeling to support partner finance teams, as needed
Qualifications:- 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, strategic finance, or corporate development
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, economics, engineering or related field
- Extensive financial modeling and/or valuation experience is required, preferably in the renewable power, infrastructure, or energy sectors (candidate will be asked to complete a modeling exercise)
- Experience working for a sponsor-backed company helpful, but not required
- Graduate degree, a plus
- Capital markets experience, a plus
- Industry knowledge in conventional and/or renewable energy is highly desirable
- Benchmarking research capability and experience
- Ability to collaborate across the enterprise to maintain a holistic view of our long-term corporate strategy
- Self-starter with effective interpersonal and communication skills
Please Note: This is an in-office role, requiring on site presence in our office a minimum of three days per week with hybrid flexibility of working remotely two days per week, subject to manager and policy approval. #LIHybrid
