Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in finance, investing, or consulting, with a focus on financial modelling or data analysis.
• Strong passion or interest in financial services and technology.
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and work independently.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
• Organized with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to structure quantitative analysis and a love for data and numbers.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to support colleagues.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, capable of synthesizing and articulating insights.

Responsibilities

• Manage the collection, organization, and analysis of data from portfolio companies to provide insights.
• Support the quarterly investment reporting process, including market theme reporting and portfolio data management.
• Prepare market insights on fintech for the investment team, analyzing deal data and notable public companies.
• Collaborate with various departments at Portage for investment data reporting and ad-hoc requests.
• Assist Investment Partners in analyzing market and portfolio data, and in developing presentations on ad-hoc topics.
• Work with the tech and data team to enhance investment-related data infrastructure and automate metrics processes.
