Description

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics is required.

Teaching responsibilities may include didactic lectures to fellows, residents, medical students and nursing staff on topics in general cardiology. Experience in teaching is also required, including curriculum development, innovative teaching materials, and mentoring of junior faculty. Rank will be commensurate with experience.

Clinical responsibilities may include Inpatient and Outpatient coverage of General Cardiology Service, Electrophysiology, Pulmonary Hypertension, Catheterization/Interventional Laboratory, Heart Failure/Heart Transplant, Echocardiography, Fetal Echocardiography. This includes staffing of satellite offices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Candidates must show evidence of continued excellence in clinical practice, such as innovative accomplishments in delivery of care, clinical productivity, quality improvement initiatives, and must have an identifiable area(s) of special expertise; a regional referral base is required for full Professor rank.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include establishing an area of research concentration in general cardiology and any pediatric cardiology subspecialties. Candidates must show evidence of continued excellence in their research concentration.
