Job Description

A Safety & Environmental Engineer is an individual contributor responsible for applying knowledge of safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, science, and mathematics to identify, analyze, and resolve safety and environmental issues.
  • Understanding of Safety & Environmental regulations and procedures.
  • Familiar with industrial hygiene monitoring methods and equipment.
  • Understanding of basic safety management practices.
  • Familiar with Federal and State hazardous waste management requirements.
  • Understanding of air pollution abatement.
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment and basic regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of chemicals and gases used in semiconductor processes.
  • Establish effective working relationships with fellow Safety & Environmental Engineers and other site employees.

Department tasks you will be contributing to:
  • Performing accident/incident investigations and providing recommended corrective actions.
  • Management of the Respiratory Protection Program.
  • Conducting Safety & Environmental training classes.

  • Environmental reporting to local, state, and federal agencies.

Qualifications

Associate Level: 0-2 years exp at a manufacturing or industrial site in a position related to Safety/Environmental or Facilities is preferred.

Engineer Level: 2-4 years exp at manufacturing or industrial site in a position related to Safety/Environmental or Facilities is preferred and preferably have a current board certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional.
  • Direct experience in CA is preferred.
  • Understanding of Cal-OSHA regulations, International Fire Code, hazardous waste management, air quality & water discharge permits, building codes, mechanical codes, plumbing codes, hazardous material handling plans, and or emergency response.
  • Ability to interpret governmental/statutory regulations, policies and procedures and execute accordingly to ensure compliance.


Additional Information
  • This role will work on site in Roseville, CA.
  • This position works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position varies considerably depending upon qualifications. The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
