The City is looking for its next Associate Engineer, who will play a vital role in supporting the planning, delivery, and oversight of civil engineering and public works projects. This position performs field inspections, maintains project documentation, applies engineering standards and regulations, and works collaboratively to identify and resolve project, operational, and contractual issues. Recruitment information:
  • The first round of applications will be reviewed on September 17th at 5:00 pm.
  • Default schedule will be the following: 5/8's with a start time between 7:00 am - 8:30 am
  • Note: This position will be fully onsite for the first six - twelve months, after which eligibility for a hybrid work schedule may be considered.

What will you do in this position?
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation in accordance with established records management practices.
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve operational, procedural, and contractual issues that arise during project delivery.
  • Apply applicable federal and state codes, regulations, AASHTO standards, and WSDOT standards, protocols, specifications, and guidelines to civil engineering and public works projects.
  • Conduct field inspections of public works construction projects to monitor progress, verify compliance with plans and specifications, and identify potential issues or deficiencies.
