Job DescriptionAssociate Director - Security Finance Are you driven by operational excellence in capital markets and looking to contribute to a growing securities finance platform? As part of the Securities Finance Trading team, you will play a key role in supporting iA's securities lending, borrowing and matched-book activities across equities and fixed income.
This function sits within the Front Office and is central to the execution and management of securities finance transactions throughout their lifecycle. You will work closely with the Securities Finance Trading Desk, counterparties, custodians and internal stakeholders to ensure trades are accurately executed, maintained and optimised. You will also be responsible for collateral optimisation activities and act as a primary operational contact for transaction-related matters.

What you'll accomplish with us?As part of the Securities Finance Trading team, you will be at the heart of the trading and transaction management operating model. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Support the full lifecycle of securities lending, borrowing and matched-book transactions, from trade execution through final return.
- Manage and monitor trade capture, matching, settlement status and transaction processing throughout the lifecycle of each trade.
- Act as the primary point of contact with counterparties for transaction-related activities and inquiries.
- Coordinate and oversee trade comparison, matching, re-rates, recalls, returns and other lifecycle management activities.
- Investigate and resolve trade-related exceptions in conjunction with counterparties, custodians and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor inventory availability and borrowing requirements to support trading and settlement activity.
- Manage collateral optimisation activities, including collateral allocation decisions, utilisation monitoring and funding efficiency initiatives.
- Monitor collateralisation through the Triparty platform, including RQV instructions, collateral allocation status and eligible collateral requirements.
- Work closely with the Securities Finance Trading Desk to support execution, liquidity management, client servicing and business growth initiatives.
- Assist with onboarding new counterparties, products and trading relationships from a transaction management perspective.
- Participate in the implementation of system enhancements, workflow improvements and automation initiatives that strengthen the securities finance platform.
- Maintain procedures and controls related to transaction processing and escalate material issues, operational risks or control concerns when appropriate.

- Understands securities lending, borrowing, matched-book financing and the operational lifecycle of securities finance transactions.
- Has experience interacting with broker-dealers, custodians, agent lenders and institutional counterparties.
- Is comfortable managing trade lifecycle events including matching, re-rates, recalls, returns, settlements and transaction exceptions.
- Possesses a strong understanding of collateral management and collateral optimisation concepts.
- Demonstrates strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Communicates clearly and can effectively coordinate activities across trading, operations and external counterparties.
- Is collaborative, adaptable and able to operate in a specialised area where processes, systems and market practices continue to evolve.
- Brings a continuous-improvement mindset, with an interest in automation, process efficiency and scalable operating models.
- Has experience in securities finance, capital markets, funding, collateral management, brokerage operations or a related financial services environment.
- Experience with EquiLend and securities finance trade management platforms would be considered a strong asset.
- Intermediate proficiency in French is an asset, as the candidate will collaborate daily with our French-speaking business partners.
