What can you expect from this position?Reporting to the Director, IOCC, the Associate Director, IOCC Transformation & Innovation is responsible for leading the transformation of Toronto Pearson's Integrated Operations Control Centre into a predictive, technology-enabled, collaborative airport operations model. This role will translate operational modernization strategy into sustainable capabilities across people, processes, technology, data, governance, and partner collaboration.
As a strategic leader, you will drive the development and implementation of innovative operating models, digital capabilities, analytics, performance frameworks, and transformation initiatives that improve operational resilience, passenger experience, airport performance, and decision-making. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and work across the airport ecosystem to deliver operational excellence and future-ready capabilities that support one of Canada's most complex transportation environments.
As an Associate Director, IOCC Transformation and Innovation, you will:- Lead the development and execution of a multi-year transformation roadmap that advances airport operational excellence.
- Drive transformation initiatives from concept through implementation, adoption, and measurable business outcomes.
- Establish innovative operating models, governance structures, and collaborative decision-making practices across airport stakeholders.
- Lead the evolution of operational systems, digital tools, analytics platforms, and data-driven decision-support capabilities.
- Develop and govern airport-wide performance frameworks, key performance indicators, and service level agreements.
- Champion innovation through the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies, industry best practices, and new operating models.
- Provide strategic operational planning, forecasting, and analytics capabilities that support proactive and predictive operations.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align priorities, improve performance, and deliver transformation initiatives.
- Lead and develop teams responsible for transformation, operational planning, systems, digital enablement, and business analytics.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
This is the role for you, if you have: - 8+ years of progressive leadership experience, including experience leading large-scale transformation, modernization, or technology-enabled change programs.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience within a complex matrix environment.
- Experience within aviation, transportation, logistics, infrastructure, operations, or similarly complex operational environments.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional programs involving business, technology, operational, regulatory, and external stakeholders.
- Experience delivering operational systems, analytics capabilities, digital tools, and business transformation initiatives.
- Strong change management, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and business transformation capabilities.
- Strong understanding of data, analytics, performance measurement, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in aviation management, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Prosci, Agile, or Data Analytics.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.
