Our client, a leading international AmLaw 25 law firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its highly regarded Technology Transactions & Digital Assets Practice Group. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency and blockchain industry, advising innovative companies, investors, platforms, and emerging technology businesses on sophisticated commercial transactions and strategic business initiatives.
The successful candidate will work closely with market leaders in the digital asset space while handling complex technology transactions involving cutting-edge blockchain technologies and emerging business models.
Candidate Profile
JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdication, in good standing.
2-5 years of experience in technology transactions and commercial contracting (preferably at a law firm)
Strong background advising technology, fintech, blockchain, or digital asset companies
Working knowledge of cryptocurrency, blockchain technologies, and evolving industry trends
Familiarity with commercial, intellectual property, data rights, and risk allocation issues in technology transactions
Exposure to cryptocurrency regulatory frameworks and compliance considerations is beneficial
Excellent contract drafting and negotiation capabilities
Demonstrated ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with sophisticated and entrepreneurial clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with emerging legal technology and AI-enabled tools is a plus
Collaborative team player with sound judgment and strong attention to detail
Key Responsibilities
Structure, negotiate, and document complex technology and commercial transactions involving blockchain and cryptocurrency businesses
Advise clients on technology licensing, platform agreements, SaaS arrangements, commercial contracts, and strategic partnerships
Counsel digital asset and blockchain companies on legal, regulatory, intellectual property, and risk management considerations
Support clients through the development and launch of innovative products and technology platforms
Analyze transaction structures and identify practical solutions to complex business and legal challenges
Collaborate with attorneys across corporate, regulatory, intellectual property, tax, finance, and litigation practices
Work directly with founders, executives, investors, and in-house legal teams on strategic initiatives
Monitor developments in cryptocurrency, blockchain, fintech, and technology regulation to provide proactive client guidance
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive Salary: $235,000 - $455,000, commensurate with class year and experience.
