Department: Commercial Lines - Alternative Risk and National Captive Practice- Conner Strong and Broad Street Partners member companies

Job Summary:

Responsible for the daily account management and servicing activities of Captive Practice Clients, including new and renewal business processes. Serves as the procedural and technical resource for the Alternative Risk and National Captive Practice and is involved in supporting Captive Consultants and Practice Leaders with development of new opportunities, retention of business, Client education meetings and new product and partner development

The position will collaborate with the captive practice leaders in the development, analysis, and servicing of captive and alternative risk opportunities for clients and prospects. The individual will also help support national clients and core partner relationships. The position will report directly to the company's Alternative Risk and National Captive Practice Leader and will interact with producers, account executives, consultants, clients, prospects, and external service providers.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Support the Alternative Risk / Captive Practice Leader and captive consultants with day-to-day operations of the group.
  • Assist in the analysis of claims, exposure, and premium data to prepare captive financial pro formas for prospective and existing opportunities.
  • Support the evaluation and servicing of group captive programs, while assisting with single parent captive opportunities as needed.
  • Participate in the coordination and support of pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, working with actuaries and other third-party providers.
  • Assist producers and captive consultants on new business opportunities and renewal strategies for captive and alternative risk programs.
  • Help coordinate renewal submissions and supporting materials for captive client in a timely manner.
  • Support the preparation of client and prospect presentations, including educational materials related to captive and alternative risk solutions.
  • Assist with Coordinating with captive managers, actuaries, auditors, tax professionals, and other external partners in support of client deliverables.
  • Participate in internal and external educational sessions, client meetings, and other captive-related discussions as needed.
  • Stay current on captive market conditions, industry trends, domiciles, and alternative risk product developments.
  • Support the development and servicing of alternative risk programs, including fronting programs, integrated risk programs, parametric solutions, and other non-traditional products.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in commercial insurance
  • Ability to analyze data and support the preparation of pro forma financials and client proposals
  • Experience supporting consultants, producers and/or account teams in the marketing, placement or servicing of insurance programs, alternative risk programs a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments with deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to contribute to client-facing presentations and internal collaboration
  • Ability to work effectively with internal teams, clients and external partners
  • Willingness to learn new products and explain the benefits and challenges of alternative risk solutions to internal and external stakeholders
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without Company sponsorship.

Specialized Knowledge or Licenses
  • Property & Casualty producer license required
  • ARM, CIC, CPCU or other specialized designations are a plus


Compensation

Salary for this position ranges from $70,000.00 - $120,000.00. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives. Qualifying positions will also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, such as participation in family medical and dental insurance programs, 401K plan, and PTO.
