THE POSITION

The firm presently has an immediate full time opening in its Orange office for an Associate Attorney. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Associate Attorney to gain valuable experience and further their career with an established firm in the Sacramento area. As an Associate Attorney, you will report to the Managing Attorney, you will also manage your caseload, as well as client interaction, and can collaborate with our Immigration Team of Attorneys and case managers.

LOCATION:

The ideal candidate will be working full-time from our Orange office. One day remote work would be allowed after a probationary period.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A second language is preferred but not required
  • This position requires completion of a Juris Doctorate program at an accredited U.S. Law School and admission to a U.S. state bar.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent writing skills
  • One year of Immigration Law Experience: Employment Immigration

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review immigration applications/packets and make any necessary adjustments
  • Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions
  • Prepare and submitting legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases
  • Correspond and/or meet with clients to gather documents and information and to guide them through various visa processes.
  • Use case management system/database, various firm systems, and project management skills to monitor case milestones, follow up with clients, and meet both legal and client-relations deadlines.
  • Exercise meticulous attention to detail to produce error-free forms, correspondence, and related legal work product.
  • Prepare and represent clients at government interviews.
  • Other tasks as required to meet client, Managing Attorney, and firm needs.
