Full Job Description
Position Title: Associate Attorney

Salary Range: $180,000-$245,000 annually, DOE

Build your litigation career somewhere you will actually litigate . This Associate Attorney will join a nationally recognized construction and commercial litigation practice, working directly alongside experienced partners on sophisticated matters involving construction disputes, government contracts, surety, and complex commercial litigation. Rather than being limited to research or isolated assignments, associates gain hands-on exposure to client strategy, discovery, law and motion, depositions, arbitrations and trial preparation.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and confident litigator with at least three years of substantive litigation experience who wants meaningful responsibility, direct mentorship and a clear path toward partnership.

Responsibilities
  • Manage substantive aspects of complex construction and commercial litigation matters alongside partners and senior attorneys
  • Develop case strategy and communicate directly with clients throughout the litigation process
  • Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other sophisticated legal documents requiring strong analytical and persuasive writing
  • Manage discovery including written discovery, document production and discovery-related disputes
  • Take and defend depositions and assist with expert witness preparation
  • Support arbitration proceedings, hearings, and trial preparation on sophisticated matters
  • Collaborate with different partners and legal teams on cases throughout the country

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of substantive general, corporate, or commercial litigation experience
  • Strong working knowledge of discovery and law and motion practice
  • Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills with the ability to produce high-quality written work
  • Strong academic credentials with demonstrated success in law school
  • Experience handling matters involving breach of contract, fraud, or other complex business disputes
  • Ability to work collaboratively with partners while independently owning significant portions of matters
