Peraton is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support its Federal Strategic Cyber group in Washington, DC. This role provides direct support to the Operations Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of a 24x7 Cyber Operations Center, with a focus on team development, process improvement, and mission delivery.
In this role, you will:
- Support the Operations Manager in overseeing Cyber Operations Center resources to ensure optimal performance across incoming customer inquiries, projects, and administrative responsibilities.
- Assist in developing and maintaining a requirements measurement framework, providing feedback to team members on customer service, communication, and technical skills to enhance deliverable quality.
- Serve as the first line of resolution for daily operational issues, escalating complex or high-impact matters to the Operations Manager as appropriate.
- Support team lead development by mentoring, coaching, and assisting in setting technical goals to sustain a high-performance operational environment.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of documented processes, procedures, and performance metrics in support of operational and contractual requirements.
- Support the development and updating of plans for deliverables, including metric collection, training, and exercise preparation.
- Contribute to the production of high-quality deliverables such as white papers, briefings, and recommendations for senior U.S. government officials.
- Help maintain high employee morale by fostering a collaborative, mission-focused team culture.
- Support the Operations Manager in budget preparation, business planning, and administrative functions.
- Conduct focused analyses to support the identification, refinement, and prioritization of Cyber Operations requirements.
- Work effectively with a diverse group of Information Technology and Security professionals across U.S. government agencies, foreign governments, and the private sector.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6 years experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of Cybersecurity Operations, Exercise, or Training experience.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or contributing to a cybersecurity function or planning operation.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI is required.
- Selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation (EOD) for continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 years of specific, related Cyber Operations experience ideally.
- 8 or more years of overall experience.
- DHS Suitability at the SCI level.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Microsoft Access and/or Database Management experience.
- Experience in a 24x7 operations center environment supporting federal or national security missions.
Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
