Job Summary
Orange County Department of Education is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking leader to serve as Assistant Director, Information Technology Systems and Database. This position oversees enterprise systems and database services, leads technical staff, manages complex technology projects, evaluates emerging technologies, and ensures the security, reliability, and performance of OCDE's systems, databases, servers, storage, backup, and business continuity solutions. The Assistant Director also collaborates with departments, school districts, vendors, and other partners to translate operational needs into effective technology solutions that support OCDE's strategic goals.

Before receiving authorization to work in this position, the individual selected will be required to provide a current negative TB authorization, within the last 60 days, and submit fingerprints for the purpose of conducting a confidential background investigation and record check. The tests are arranged and paid for by OCDE.
