DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Ambulatory Care Division strategic and operational goals include but are not limited to enhancing the levels of patient experience, quality improvement, employee development and financial effectiveness.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

The Assistant Administrator, Surgical Specialty Clinics is a member of the leadership team of the UWM Ambulatory Care Division, providing strategic leadership and operational guidance to the ambulatory care division. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to achieve the strategic and operational goals for the UWM Ambulatory Care Division

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Effectively collaborate with Chairs, Medical Directors, Associate Directors, Clinic Medical Directors, Surgical Chiefs and Clinic Managers, planning and decision support, contracting, finance, and others as necessary
  • Works across multiple disciplines, services and care settings providing key administrative leadership and operational guidance to the clinical sites
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of programs including human resource management; staff and physician relationships; financial management and reporting; patient access and throughput
  • Facilitates identification of performance improvement opportunities and provides support for change strategies
  • Lead system-wide level and entity-specific committees. Develop, schedule, and coordinate projects that improve the processes and management of assigned services
  • Leads the development and implementation of the strategic vision and associated business plans in partnership with the System clinical, strategic and operational leadership


REQUIREMENTS
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or related field.
  • 5 Years' experience
  • Successful leadership in a hospital, clinic, health system management, or ambulatory environment, or other relevant setting.
  • Equivalent experience may substitute for degree requirement
