Job Summary:
Located in San Jose, CA, the Application Engineer will be responsible for supporting the Command Center. The candidate will work as a Configurator LiveChat Agent, assisting customers, sales, product managers, and engineers with order quotations.

• Serve as first point of contact and address to customer's inquiries and questions regarding to Supermicro products, solutions, and services
• Assist internal users and customers in configuring products and making recommendations.
• Act as a pre-sales liaison between field teams and cross-functional product management
• Identify, document, and resolve customer issues; escalate critical customer's questions and issues to the correspondent team and management
• Assisting clients to perform basic troubleshooting via phone, e-mail, or web portal
• Provide inputs to designing team on customer's feedback on new products improvement
• Drive customer satisfaction through service excellence
• Collect, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources to support system enhancements and business decisions.
• Create and maintain functional specifications, technical documentation, workflows, and process documentation.
• Maintain data accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance with company standards.
• Provide end-user training, documentation, and ongoing technical support for business systems
• Ability to work flexible hours (Bi-weekly shift rotations: 6:00 AM-3:00 PM and 9:00 AM-6:00 PM.)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience as Application Engineer, Computer Science, Computer Engineer or equivalent
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Experience in gathering and documenting business and system requirements
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication capabilities to translate complex technical jargon into actionable business language
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, reporting tools, or project management tools is a plus
Salary Range
$85,000 - $95,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
