Position Description: CGI is seeking to hire a DevOps engineer with Android Mobile development experience. As a member of our release team, you will maintain and improve Android build, test, and release pipelines. You will handle routine pipeline updates and investigate common build and test failures, collaborating with experienced engineers on complex issues, platform upgrades, and release improvements.
This position is a Full-Time, On-Site employment opportunity located in either our Cary, NC; Plano, TX; or Burlington, MA offices.
Your future duties and responsibilities: . Maintain and improve Android build, test, and release pipelines
. Handle routine pipeline updates and investigate common build and test failures
. Collaborate with experienced engineers on complex issues, platform upgrades, and release improvements
. Help prepare for changes such as Gradle and Android SDK upgrades
. Contribute to security scans, build health reports, build failure investigations, and test automation
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . 6+ years practical experience supporting software build or CI/CD workflows
. Ability to make routine updates, investigate failures, and escalate issues when needed
. Clear communication and strong collaboration skills, with motivation to continuously improve engineering skills and processes
. Working knowledge of Kotlin
. Working knowledge of at least one scripting language such as Bash, Groovy, or Python
. Ability to use these skills to understand and make straightforward changes to build or automation code
Desired Skills
. Familiarity with Espresso UI automation or accessibility testing (helpful but not required)
. Experience navigating a highly regulated industry (explicitly called out as "a definite bonus")
. Familiarity with Jenkins or another CI/CD system
. Familiarity with Artifactory, AWS, Docker, and Gradle
. Experience with Google Play Store release processes
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $81,600.00 $157,100.00.
