Qualifications

• University degree in accounting required
• CPA designation mandatory
• 3 to 5 years experience in tax compliance and accounting
• Strong knowledge of Canadian corporate tax law
• Specialized tax training (e.g., CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program) preferred
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in tax software like Taxprep
• Bilingual in French and English is an asset

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file Canadian income tax returns
• Draft tax provisions and notes for entities and consolidated groups
• Reconcile tax provisions with previous year's returns
• Participate in audits and correspondence with tax authorities
• Improve and automate tax processes for better performance
• Identify and implement tax optimization strategies
• Contribute to special projects like reorganizations and M&A
• Address ad hoc tax-related inquiries
