Full Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Canadian Tax Analyst who will play a key role in managing Canadian corporate tax compliance and interpreting and applying tax legislation in a complex business environment. The incumbent will also participate in tax accounting and tax provision activities under IFRS.

Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:
  • Participate in the full process of preparing, reviewing and filing Canadian income tax returns;
  • Prepare tax provisions and tax notes for Canadian legal entities and the consolidated group;
  • Prepare reconciliations between tax provisions and the previous year's income tax returns ("true-up");
  • Participate in audits and exchanges with tax authorities and follow up on information requests;
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement and automation of tax processes to enhance operational performance and support the evolution of the function;
  • Support the identification and implementation of tax optimization opportunities;
  • Participate in special projects, including reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions;
  • Respond to ad hoc tax-related requests.


Qualifications

When your expertise drives us:
  • Hold a university degree in accounting;
  • Hold a CPA designation;
  • Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in tax compliance and tax accounting;
  • Excellent knowledge of Canadian corporate tax legislation;
  • Specialized tax training: CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program or a graduate degree in taxation;
  • Proficiency with commonly used computer tools, such as Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel;
  • Good knowledge of Taxprep;
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Longview, an asset;
  • Bilingualism: French and English.
