AI Product Manager

Location: Remote or Hybrid (Dallas)

About Shiftwise
Shiftwise, a leader in healthcare workforce management, helps hospitals and health systems streamline contingent staffing through our Vendor Management System (VMS). Our mission is to simplify workforce complexity so providers can focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care.

We’re now looking for an AI Product Manager to lead the strategy, definition, and execution of AI-powered features that transform how healthcare organizations manage their contingent workforce. This is a unique role for someone who both uses AI in their day-to-day product craft and can shape how AI is integrated into a large-scale SaaS platform.

What you will do

  • Own the AI product strategy: Identify opportunities where AI/ML can create value for our customers, from workforce forecasting to smarter workflows.

  • Shape features end-to-end: Translate AI concepts into intuitive user experiences and partner with design and engineering to deliver high-impact functionality.

  • Be an AI practitioner: Actively use AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Bard, Jasper, etc.) in your daily workflow for research, writing, and decision support.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with data science, engineering, customer success, and clinical experts to define requirements, validate use cases, and ensure ethical AI practices.

  • Customer obsession: Conduct discovery with healthcare administrators, staffing agencies, and clinicians to uncover problems that AI can solve.

  • Data-driven product management: Define success metrics, run experiments, and measure adoption and impact of AI features.

  • Educate & evangelize: Help internal teams and customers understand how AI is shaping Shiftwise’s roadmap and product vision.

Qualifications

  • 4–7+ years in product management (SaaS or enterprise preferred), with at least 1 year building or managing AI-powered features.

  • Hands-on experience using AI/ML in daily product workflows (prompt engineering, prototyping with LLMs, data analysis, etc.).

  • Customer-first mindset with proven ability to gather insights, run discovery, and translate needs into solutions.

  • Strong communication skills

  • Experience in healthcare or workforce management is a plus but not required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate market trends and competitors to find opportunities to improve or develop a product; including settling the timeline to take action and the specific features that the product should possess.

  • This individual delivers the operating plan, the achievement of growth objectives, including market share, revenue, profit, and return on investment for all the channels/categories of business and key customers.

  • Develop product briefs nd define achievable acceptance criteria.

  • Stay updated on the progress of work and resolve any issues related to details or information during sprints.

  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and practices.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in an office/home office environment.

  • Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
