Agile Engineer (Cloud) - Expert - #904

Clearance Required: TS/SCI

Dayton, Ohio - 100% onsite

Position Overview

The Expert Agile Engineer (Cloud) serves as the principal technical authority and engineering lead for cloud-native software delivery across the contract. This role provides high-level architectural oversight and coordinates center-wide software modernization efforts to establish a flexible, multi-cloud platform environment. The Expert engineer bridges the gap between complex systems engineering goals and developer execution, ensuring all solutions align with the NASIC Enterprise Architecture.

Core Responsibilities
  • Strategic Architecture & Backlog Engineering: Translates highly complex, enterprise-wide systems engineering goals and cloud-native architecture designs into operational software developer backlogs. Leads teams to validate that software factory outputs meet rigorous technical standards.
  • Systemic Discrepancy Governance: Orchestrates the analysis, prioritization, and resolution of systemic, center-wide Discrepancy Reports (DRs). Directs collaboration across internal and external tier support pipelines to maximize platform stability and mission readiness.
  • Ecosystem Integration & Board Management: Oversees complex technical integration across Vendor or related vendor ecosystems. Standardizes and governs JIRA/Confluence workflows, sprint cadences, and review/approval boards across multiple development streams.
  • Cross-Domain Architecture Oversight: Establishes workflows against complex, large datasets across multiple security domains (Unclassified, Secret, and TS/SCI), ensuring zero-restriction turnover of code and architecture artifacts to the Government.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and 18 years of experience OR a Master's degree and 15 years of experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Architecture, or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise: Expert-level mastery leading software development teams, cloud engineering pipelines, and defining enterprise architectures independent of supervisory guidance. Deep technical understanding of the NASIC 2033 IT Modernization Strategy and Open Container Initiative standards.
  • Clearance & Compliance: Active TS/SCI security clearance for 100% on-site support at Wright-Patterson AFB. Proven capacity ensuring strict compliance with DoD and Air Force IT standards.

Desired:
  • NASIC Experience: NASIC experience highly desired, not mandatory.
