Job DescriptionWe are recruiting for an
Advanced Field Service Engineer. The incumbent will perform maintenance, audits, configuration, programming, installation/commissioning, upgrades, and migration of complex/advanced Honeywell control systems (EXPERION PKS, TPS/TDC300). Your time will be spent validating customer requests, developing/maintaining/improving customer relationships, upgrades/migration planning and execution, all while ensuring Right and Fast Delivery.
You will report directly to our
Field Service Manager, and you'll work out of our
Houston, TX location on an
On-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact customer satisfaction and operational excellence by providing expert
maintenance, configuration, and upgrade services for Honeywell control systems, ensuring seamless system performance and driving business growth through technical expertise and customer engagement.
ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Periodic communication with customers regarding technical and administrative issues
- Provide customer support on Honeywell Control Systems and serve as a customer contact for service-related issues/enquiries
- Configure, maintain and solve Honeywell hardware and software issues including: Experion PKS, other DCS hardware / software such as LCN, TPS
- Upgrade Experion software from one software release to another software release on live control system without causing any interruption to customer's industrial process
- Migrate Legacy Honeywell control systems to Honeywell's new technology offering
- Complex SPOT and Project Scoping & Execution.
- Focal Point for Honeywell with the customer on providing technical solutions
- Understand customer key processes and economic drivers and translate those into business opportunities, providing timely research and recommendations
- Assist Sales during sales pursuits and be the face of Honeywell to end-users, and competitors
- Learn the end-to-end product/solution development and delivery/execution of Honeywell products and solutions
- Use technical expertise of sophisticated Honeywell solutions/product offerings to improve customer experience
- A Company vehicle will be provided to travel to company sites
- Due to the nature of this discipline, on occasion, maybe required to work off-hours, on weekends, and/or holidays
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE- 5+ years of experience in field service engineering
- Must have and maintain at least one L4 CEAT certification and additional L3 certifications (for internal candidates) or able to get in 1 year (for External candidates)
- Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to Honeywell
- Willingness and ability to travel 75% of time
WE VALUE- Bachelor's degree in a technical/Engineering field
- Experience with Experion PKS Hardware & Software, TDC, & TPS system experience including LCN, UCN, Safety System (FSC/SM), Advanced Applications (PHD etc.), HMI, SCADA, PLC's, PC/Networking.
- 3rd Party controls experience
- Experience in Virtualization hardware/software, setup and network configuration
- Be self-motivated and willing to work in demanding environments with little or no supervision and take initiative to be proactive.
