Job Summary:RWJBH is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the Cardiac Surgery department at the New Brunswick campus
This role will be expected to rotate between floor/ICU with possible training and rotation to cardiac surgery operating room for the right candidate
Role includes rotational nights, weekends, and holidays
Essential Functions:- Candidates should possess effective time management and critical care skills
- Must be able to adapt and adjust to a large volume of acute patient population
- Skills with procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement, and chest tube placement are preferred
- Must also be accustomed to working as an autonomous provider, for example: making treatment decisions and moving patient care forward
- Experience with POCUS is also preferred
- The expectation is for the candidate to work to a full extent of licensure,
Education:- Graduate from NP program with certification in Acute Care, or Adult with previous critical care experience
- NP can only be considered for the OR if they have their RNFA certification
- Physician Assistants need to have graduated from an accredited PA program,
Experience:- 2-3 years of critical care experience minimum
