Addiction Psychiatrist / Medical Director OpportunityLocation: Indianapolis, IN
We are seeking an experienced
Addiction Psychiatrist to join a comprehensive behavioral health and substance use treatment program in the
Indianapolis, Indiana area.
The primary facility includes a
112-bed detoxification and residential treatment program, along with a
60-bed Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
Additional treatment locations are located throughout the region, ranging from approximately
40 minutes to 3 hours from Indianapolis. Each additional location offers approximately
60 beds dedicated to detoxification and residential treatment.
The preferred arrangement is for
one full-time psychiatrist to provide clinical and medical leadership across the program. However,
part-time opportunities may also be considered to provide coverage at one or more locations.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with substance use and co-occurring psychiatric disorders
- Provide direct patient care within detoxification and residential treatment programs
- Serve in a Medical Director capacity and provide clinical leadership for the program
- Provide clinical oversight and supervision of advanced practice providers and other members of the treatment team
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, therapists, counselors, and other behavioral health professionals
- Support continuity of care across detoxification, residential, PHP, and IOP levels of treatment
- Participate in clinical meetings, treatment planning, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Help ensure services are provided in accordance with applicable clinical, regulatory, and organizational standards
- Provide coverage and clinical support across additional treatment locations as needed based on the selected employment arrangement

Requirements- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Fellowship training and/or demonstrated experience in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine
- Board certification in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine preferred
- Eligible for an Indiana medical license
- Experience treating substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions
- Experience supervising or collaborating with advanced practice providers
- Medical leadership or Medical Director experience preferred
- Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills
