  • Provide overall calibration and validation status for program milestones.
  • Work with the Virtual testing team to create HIL test cases for virtual testing.
  • Stay updated on ADAS technology advancements and regulatory requirements.

What you'll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
  • Execution of Scout ADAS features calibration and validation in collaboration with cross functional peers in areas like drive, chassis, and steering.
  • Collaborate with Lead ADAS DRE to meet ADAS calibration and validation deliverables for timing and feature maturity based on SW readiness.
  • Work with lead calibration or validation engineer on calibration and validation plans for ADAS features.
  • Develop calibration variants needed for different vehicles and vehicle trim levels for ADAS features.
  • Participate in ADAS calibration trips including defining trip deliverables and measuring development progress for your area of responsibility
  • Work with lead ADAS DRE to provide overall calibration and validation status for program milestones.
  • Work with Virtual testing team to develop HIL test cases to move testing to virtual as much as possible.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ADAS technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Location & Travel Expectations:
  • This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
  • This role requires 4 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in ADAS feature development or calibration release within the automotive industry.
  • Experience with calibration configuration and release management utilizing calibration tools (e.g. INCA and Creta)
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN and Ethernet) and tools for development, simulation, and testing (e.g. CANoe, CANalyzer, JIRA, and Confluence).
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets, root-cause system issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety standards and legislative regulations (e.g. ISO 26262, SAE J3016, FMVSS)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, present technical information, and influence decision-making processes.
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivated in a dynamic environment.
  • Must have the ability to operate a vehicle in the US.
  • Fluency in German is a plus

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $130,000.00 - $160,000.00
