Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Actimize SAM Functional & Technical Lead to drive the end-to-end delivery, implementation, and optimization of NICE Actimize Suspicious Activity Monitoring (SAM) solutions within our AML Transaction Monitoring team.
This is a hands-on technical and functional leadership role requiring deep expertise in Actimize SAM, AML transaction monitoring, and financial crime compliance. The successful candidate will lead a technical team, collaborate closely with Compliance, business stakeholders, and technology partners, and leverage AI-powered tools to enhance delivery efficiency, solution quality, and overall team productivity.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with functional knowledge of AML processes and proven leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Actimize SAM Delivery & Technical Leadership- Own end-to-end delivery of NICE Actimize SAM solutions, including design, development, configuration, implementation, and ongoing enhancements.
- Provide hands-on technical and functional leadership across Actimize SAM initiatives.
- Oversee solution architecture, technical design, integrations, and system performance.
- Ensure solutions meet business, regulatory, and operational requirements.
2. AML & Financial Crime Compliance- Apply deep understanding of AML transaction monitoring processes, suspicious activity detection, and financial crime compliance requirements.
- Partner with Compliance and business stakeholders to translate regulatory and business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Support monitoring strategy, scenario configuration, tuning, optimization, and ongoing platform improvements.
3. Team Leadership & Collaboration- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of Actimize developers and functional specialists.
- Establish delivery standards, review technical designs, and ensure high-quality implementation.
- Work closely with business analysts, Compliance teams, technology stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- Drive collaboration across business and technology teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
4. AI-Enabled Delivery & Innovation- Leverage AI-powered tools and development assistants to improve engineering productivity, delivery speed, and solution quality.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate AI into development, testing, documentation, and delivery workflows.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement across the team.
5. Delivery Governance & Quality- Manage end-to-end project delivery, timelines, dependencies, and technical risks.
- Ensure adherence to development standards, testing practices, documentation, and release management processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in platform performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in AML technology, financial crime compliance, or banking technology.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with NICE Actimize SAM (Suspicious Activity Monitoring).
- Strong functional and technical expertise in Actimize SAM implementation, configuration, customization, and enhancements.
- Deep understanding of AML transaction monitoring, suspicious activity detection, monitoring scenarios, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and delivering complex AML technology initiatives.
- Experience working directly with Compliance, AML operations, and business stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to improve software development, testing, and delivery processes is highly desirable.
