About the Role:
As a CBRE Real Estate Accounting Consultant, you will leverage your expertise in accounting and finance to provide strategic financial management, forecasting, and auditing for real estate portfolios. You will play a critical role in developing and maintaining accounting processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and delivering high-quality financial services to clients.
What You'll Do:
Maintain and evaluate complex records of accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
Review and reconcile high-profile ledger accounts and journal entries, preparing multifaceted balance sheets and income statements.
Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors, facilitating audits and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.
Collaborate with project teams to resolve accounting issues for new products and systems, providing innovative solutions and process improvements.
Monitor inventory for stock accounts and review status reports for all fixed assets, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
Develop and implement new methods for achieving individual and departmental objectives, showcasing expertise in accounting and finance.
Coach and mentor team members, sharing in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, and working to build consensus and convince others to reach agreements.
Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and related teams, working within broad guidelines and policies.
Communicate complex and sensitive information effectively, influencing stakeholders and driving positive outcomes.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information, providing innovative solutions to complex problems.
Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions, driving continuous improvement and process optimization.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to leverage these tools for financial analysis and reporting.
Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality results.
Sophisticated math skills, with the ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus among stakeholders.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Accounting Manager position is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Accounting Manager position is $140,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
