Full Job Description
We're hiring salespeople.
But probably not the kind you think.
I don't care how impressive your Rolodex is.
I don't care how many years you've spent selling MarTech.
I don't care if you can recite your "proven sales methodology" from memory.
I care whether it's ever gotten you into a room with a skeptical buyer who almost said no.
I care about something much harder to teach.
Hunger.
I want the person who hates losing more than they enjoy being comfortable.
The person who sees a prospect everyone else gave up on and thinks, "I can get them."
The person who is genuinely curious about a business, asks great questions, finds the problem underneath the problem, and earns the right to have a conversation about solving it.
You should like the chase.
You should like creating something from nothing.
You should be comfortable hearing "no."
And you should have a little bit of that irrational confidence that makes you think the next call, the next email, the next conversation could be the one.
Because we have something interesting to sell.
We're building Tap around a pretty simple idea: most companies have more marketing data than ever, scattered across dozens of systems, but still struggle to understand what is actually happening, why it is happening, and what they should do next. We connect those signals and turn them into intelligence people can actually use.
That gives the right salesperson a lot to talk about.
I'm not looking to hire one specific profile.
You could be a killer SDR ready for your shot.
You could be an AE who is bored selling the same thing the same way.
You could come from outside software entirely.
You might even be someone we would normally overlook because your résumé doesn't check the traditional boxes.
Fine by me.
Show me how you think. Show me how you compete. Show me something you wanted badly, and what you did to get it.
If that sounds like you, don't send me the standard "I'm interested in learning more" message. Skip the cover letter too.
Answer the application question instead. 150 words or less. Start it with the word Hunger.
That's how you get a call back. Not a resume. This.
