Account Executive (Federal Government & Public Sector) - Hybrid

  • Do you want to lead efforts to grow Canon27s presence in federal and Ontario provincial government areas?
The Account Executive, Federal Government & Public Sector, plays a key role in supporting Canon27s TDS and government sales. In this role, you will manage a specific territory, develop new business, and work to meet sales targets for TDS equipment, software, and services. You will also oversee Canon27s sales activities with federal and Ontario provincial government clients.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Growing the TDS product (hardware and software) market share by meeting or exceeding sales objectives within a defined territory
  • Growing the office and production copier product and solution product portfolio market share within the Ontario Education Collaborative Marketplace (OECM)
  • Maintaining current federal government contracts and renewing existing copier equipment, including responding to all copier-related RFP and TDS-related RFP, within the designated TDS territory, while engaging with the customer to determine appropriate Canon products and solutions.
  • Prospecting for new business customers within a named portfolio and identifying net new opportunities, i.e., conducting weekly phone blitzes and visiting potential clients
  • Conducting window of opportunity analyses for leased or purchased units in order to identify existing customer opportunitiesOperating as the lead point of contact between Canon, authorized dealers, and federal government clients
  • Delivering product demonstrations, proposals, and training which articulate Canon27s competitive advantage and value-adds
  • Documenting all sales activities in Salesforce
Qualifications

To Succeed, You Will Have

  • Post-Secondary education
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in sales
  • Refined analytical abilities to understand complex client needs, determine Canon solutions, and create customer proposals.
  • Intermediate time management and multitasking to meet customer timelines and expectations.
  • Basic computer skills to use Excel/Sheet, Documents, and Presentations.
  • Intermediate abilities with Salesforce
  • Intermediate process management skills to adhere to the customer billing cycles
  • Intermediate equipment operation skills to use and demonstrate the product line, including TDS products.

  • The role is an outside face-to-face sales role. You will be in the office on Mondays and Wednesdays each week, unless required to be at a customer27s location. Sales is expected to maximize their time at customer locations and the remaining time, you will be able to work from a home workspace.

Actual OTE is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation, will depend on factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
