THE WORK:
- (Internal Title: Project Management IV)
- Lead the POS design program from design development through to Issued for Construction (IFC), managing scope, schedule, resources, risks, and project interfaces.
- Provide effective oversight and challenge of the Systems Contractor's design delivery, ensuring outputs meet project requirements and quality standards.
- Ensure design coordination and integration with civil works, track, signalling, Overhead Contact Systems (OCS), and third-party interfaces.
- Drive the resolution of technical and program-related issues to maintain project progress and meet key milestones.
- Manage design changes, ensuring impacts on scope, schedule, resources, and project delivery are appropriately assessed and addressed.
- Provide clear and timely reporting to senior stakeholders on design progress, key risks, challenges, and overall program performance.
- Manage and implement the assigned projects from inception through to completion.
- Develop new project or program plans and expectations in consultation with and delegating deliverables to stakeholders, including clients.
- Determine and manage the human and material resources required to complete assigned projects successfully.
- Formulate a resource allocation strategy and utilize this to distribute work and budgets.
- Exercise authority in managing the work and control the delivery of the projects per project plans.
- Review and ensure adherence to the overall scope, schedule, and budget.
- Identify risks and entrench mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Monitor and report on performance against project requirements, schedule, milestones, budgets, quality measures, and KPIs, and address issues with corrective actions as appropriate to ensure excellence and adherence to specified deadlines.
- Evaluate the project's effectiveness by consulting with clients and other stakeholders.
- Establish and deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations to various audiences, including the project team, client executives, key stakeholders, and operations.
- Lead scope change negotiations.
- Oversee ongoing quality control, participate in quality issue resolution, and manage internal quality control checks for the project.
- Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project and program life cycle.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in Project Management
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Licenses OR Certifications:
- Holding a recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of prevailing Project Management methods
- Extensive knowledge of tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in Project Management software
- Must maintain professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices
- Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimum input from leadership
- Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities
- Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal)
