Job Description:

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a passionate and strategic Director of Client Success to lead a rapidly expanding portfolio for a defense sector client. The CS Director serves as the senior executive responsible for overall contract execution, customer engagement, mission delivery, strategic planning, and integration across four Lines of Effort:

  • Infrastructure Modernization
  • Common Operating Picture (COP) development
  • Network Modernization
  • Operational command, control, and communications process transformation


The CS Director provides executive leadership for the embedded Rapid Acquisition

Integration Cell (RAIC™), ensuring modernization activities remain synchronized across

government stakeholders while delivering measurable mission outcomes. This position serves as the primary executive interface with senior government leadership across the Department of War (DOW) and with other Executive Branch organizations.

GENERAL DUTIES:

Client Leadership & Strategic Advisory

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior DOW and operational leaders, providing strategic guidance that advances mission outcomes and organizational transformation.
  • Build and sustain executive relationships across client organizations to identify mission priorities, shape long-term strategies, and position the company as a trusted partner.
  • Advise senior leaders on organizational design, capability modernization, rapid acquisition, technology adoption, governance, and operational transformation.
  • Translate complex mission challenges, capability gaps, and strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps that accelerate mission impact.
  • Lead strategic planning sessions and stakeholder engagements that drive alignment, decision-making, and measurable outcomes.

Portfolio Leadership & Delivery Excellence

  • Establish and oversee scalable operating models, governance structures, and delivery frameworks that enable rapid capability development and transition.
  • Translate strategic objectives into executable plans, operating models, workflows, performance metrics, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Drive execution through Agile and iterative delivery methodologies that accelerate decision-making, improve transparency, and produce measurable progress.
  • Ensure engagements remain focused on mission outcomes, operational effectiveness, speed, and return on investment.
  • Anticipate risks, resolve complex delivery challenges, and adapt execution strategies to evolving operational environments.
  • Oversee contract execution to ensure compliance with security requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable federal regulations.

Mission Innovation & Operational Transformation

  • Design and implement repeatable frameworks that improve capability intake, evaluation, prioritization, experimentation, transition, and fielding.
  • Drive modernization initiatives that improve organizational agility, acquisition effectiveness, and mission execution.
  • Establish standardized approaches for innovation, experimentation, and rapid capability delivery that can scale across client organizations.

Business Growth & Strategic Expansion

  • Identify, qualify, shape, and help capture strategic growth opportunities within existing and prospective client organizations
  • Leverage executive relationships and mission insight to identify emerging client priorities and expand the portfolio of work.
  • Contribute to organizational growth through thought leadership, market insight, and cross- functional collaboration.

Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Serve as a senior leader responsible for delivering client success, achieving business objectives, and advancing strategic priorities.
  • Manage, lead, and develop high-performing team-members capable of delivering exceptional results in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop leaders while strengthening the organization's technical, consulting, and client engagement capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, continuous learning, and operational excellence.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years DoW experience.
  • Experience supporting OSW or Joint Staff.
  • Executive-level program management.
  • Experience leading organizational transformation.
  • Experience briefing SES and General Officers.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-million dollar programs.
  • Strong understanding of OSW acquisition processes, security requirements, and technology modernization initiatives.
  • Skilled in analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to drive strategic recommendations and improvements.
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience managing and developing high- performing teams.
  • Demonstrated first hand experience in moving a capability from concept to operational deployment.
  • Executive presence and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
